The TakeAway Medication Recovery System for DEA Reverse Distribution for Registrants is a DEA-compliant collection, return, and destruction solution for DEA registrants' expired or unused inventory controlled substances (Schedules II-V) . It is affordable and easy-to-use disposal with no hidden fees or contracts.

You must list all of your unused/expired inventory on the DEA Controlled Substances for Destruction Form before the system will be shipped to you. Therefore, do not order the product unless you currently have inventory to dispose of.
Systems include:

- Materials to package for return
- Complete documentation of returned pharmaceuticals
- Proper disposal with online proof of destruction

This system is for DEA registrants only.
All orders must be placed with DEA registrant’s registration number and will not be accepted without it.
Orders will not be released until your DEA registration number and DEA Controlled Substances for Destruction Form are approved.
Product should only be used to clean out preexisting inventory.

The TakeAway Medication Recovery System is only for use by DEA Registrants looking to dispose of expired or unused controlled substances. No hazardous pharmaceuticals or biohazardous materials are allowed. Examples of places who may need this system are dental and medical offices, long-term care facilities, state and federal government, veterinary hospitals, emergency health services, and urgent care.
You must have a DEA registrant’s registration number to purchase this sytem. Customer Service will follow up with you to obtain it. Orders will not be released until your DEA registration number and DEA Controlled Substances for Destruction Form are approved.
You must complete the DEA Controlled Substances for Destruction Form and then fax it to 713.660.3566 or email it to ses@sharpsinc.com.
Once approved, the order is released for use.
If Schedule II drugs are included, the treatment facility will complete DEA Form 222 that will be sent to the registrant. Maintain copies of records documenting the transfer and disposal of controlled substances for two years per DEA recommendations.
