20-Gallon TakeAway Environmental Return System
The 20-Gallon TakeAway Environmental Return System is an unused medication collection and disposal system for only non-controlled patient medications. The system is all-inclusive with prepaid return via common carrier, serialized tracking via SharpsTracer, and complete destruction at Sharps’ treatment facility. The top of the box features specially-designed openings for medication cards and vials.
THIS SYSTEM EXCLUDES CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES.
Medications should be in their original containers when placed into the TakeAway Environmental System. Liquids must be placed in a sealed/zip-locked plastic bag before being placed inside the box. No more than four ounces of liquids can be included in each mailing.
Special Note: Customers in Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories (Guam, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands) must purchase through Customer Support at 800.772.5657 as the price for use varies in these areas.
